Angeles Workshop School is founded and staffed by neurodivergent and queer educators and activists, and our student population includes learners of all neurotypes and gender identities. Our revolutionary model goes beyond awareness and acceptance, and prepares students to change the world towards liberation and equality for all marginalized peoples.
Our curriculum is built around Role-Playing Games, simulations and play-based learning. Students learn core academic subjects, creative skillsets, and interpersonal skills through Dungeons and Dragons, Math and Science games, and a series of tabletop RPGs designed by our founders and staff.
At Angeles Workshop School, our model is built upon democratic and abolitionist values. This means that what we learn, how we learn, and what we do with our learning is all focused on social justice for all peoples. Students learn about historic and current social movements and causes, take part in mutual aid projects, and co-create school practices, agreements and values for true ownership of their learning and living experience.
We are so proud of the people our graduates have become, and are becoming.
This year, we graduated the class of 2024 as Angeles Workshop School celebrated 10 years of revolutionary education.
